Similar in scope to the Atlas Building, this historic preservation project focused on the adaptive reuse of a former four story commercial office building in downtown Charleston, WV. Leveraging federal and state historic tax credits, the project adapted the property into 27 market rate apartments with first floor retail and office space. The Viking Group served as a development consultant throughout Predesign, Preconstruction, and Procurement phases helping the owners to select their professional team and assisted in maximizing the funding for the project. The team was in constant communication with SHPO and NPS to ensure adherence to the Secretary of the Interior's Standards as Plans developed.
